On Monday, in the hall of the city hall, a presentation of the project «Development Strategy of the Drohobych District until 2015», prepared by the Local Development Agency under the auspices of the Drohobych District Council and the Drohobych District State Administration, took place. Invitations to participate in this event were sent to the leadership of the regional council and the regional state administration, the city chairman of Drohobych, Truskavets, Borislav, Stebnik, rural and settlement heads, district council deputies, heads of large enterprises, organizations and banks of Drohobych, representatives of the local sectoral council of entrepreneurs, the media. The first deputy of the mayor of Drohobych, Petr Suda, as the owner of the state institution, congratulated the participants of the meeting and wished a positive vislid in general. Director of the Institute of Regional Development of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vasily Kravtsiv, Deputy Chairman of the Regional State Administration Taras Fedak arrived from Lviv to this event.
The chairman of the Drohobych Regional State Administration, Mikhail Kravets, noted in his opening speech that the proposed project is intended to form new ways of development, to determine the necessary guidelines, new views in the organization of regional economic policy. Roman Matkivsky and Taras Gorodissky, Candidates of Economic Sciences of the Faculty of Management and Marketing of the Drohobych Pedagogical University, analyzed the trends in the socio-economic development of the Drohobych region. By the way, for this event, the team of authors consisting of O. Dorosh, M. Odrehivsky, R. Matkivsky, T. Gorodysky, M. Kravts, V. Shmigelsky, R. Garbic, R. Stetsivka, V. Dzvinka, O. Soltis, A. Grebenyuk, J. Kovtik, O. Marushchak, G. Luzhetskiy, G. Yavir, I. Mizernik, V. Palamarchuk and I. Nazarevich issued all the developments in a single document. It analyzes the socio-economic situation of the region, identifies strengths and weaknesses, explores potential opportunities and threats in the context of internal and external conditions. Accordingly, the goal, goals and objectives of the strategy were developed, as well as the forecasting of the main socio-economic indicators of the development of the Drohobych region until 2015 was carried out on the basis of the spatial stages of the models.
